This COVID program was created through goodwill from the ImplementHIT development team, and several strategic advisors. ImplementHIT currently covers all software, development and support costs, but at some point in the future will apply for grants to cover some costs as the number of patients (and amount of costs) increase. We have considered making it possible for individuals to donate to this purpose.
There are two scenarios:

Scenario 1 - Use our program to offload COVID screening sometimes or all of the time

In scenario 1, we provide a small amount of code to place on your website site so patients can self-check for COVID-19 online, using the latest CDC guidelines. If patients have life threatening or severe symptoms, they are recommended to call 911 immediately. Otherwise, if they are high risk they are encouraged to either follow up with their PCP, or see a physician now for free. If they select the option to see a physician now, they enter a waiting room where a pool of volunteer physicians are available to see the next available patient.

Scenario 2 - Use our program to screen patients for COVID yourself

This scenario is like 1, except when it comes to seeing a doctor, your healthcare team of doctors and nurses would screen and monitor patients using our software. The ImplementHIT team will provide free training on how to use the software, and free support.
Partnerships with established free clinics essentially involve your volunteer physicians, nurses, and social workers providing free COVID screening and monitoring through our program, primarily for FQHCs and RHCs. All patients screened and monitored for COVID through our free clinic partnerships do not pay for these services. Currently, all costs for software, and support are covered by ImplementHIT. Likewise, the team at ImplementHIT will train your volunteer physicians, nurses and social workers how to use the software and provide them with support all for free.
